Trials Riders' Testimonials

Simon Wearmouth ( Wales)

Simon Wearmouth
Simon Wearmouth

Simon recently visited the NonStop Trials Park and Adventure Tour sites while on holiday from Wales where he rides Club Trials on a regular basis. He stated that people at home would never believe him when he told them what a fantastic facility Stephen & Deborah have created in Wakefield, near Nelson or the wonderful riding environment in Havelock.
Simon thoroughly enjoyed his riding in both the natural terrain and man-made obstacles. "They are well thought out and rideable but still challenging. I could ride here for a month if I had more time."

Steve Armistead & Francis Sydenham (Auckland & Tauranga)

Steve & Francis recently visited the NonStop Trials Academy for three 'half' days of training, which turned into three days of training when they found they were enjoying the rides so much with the help of Stephen and the goal of preparing for the coming 3-Day Kaikoura Trial.

Steve & Francis commented that they were trying things they would not have looked at previously due to the step-by-step instructions they received over the three days from Stephen.
"It was well worth the visit".

After three days of training at the NonStop Trials Academy Steve & Francis were keen to put their new skills to the test.

They attended the 60th 3-Day Kaikoura Event and came away with a second and fourth in their Class.

"We have thoroughly enjoyed our full on week of trialing and with Stephen Oliver's help have surpassed our greatest expectations" said Francis.

"This is a great sport which challenges you individually but encourages great friendship" said Steve.

Well done guys !

John & Joy Harry (Adelaide, Australia)

John & Joy (parents of Adrian Harry, top Australian Trials Rider currently residing in UK) recently visited the NonStop Trials Park. John himself was for many years a top Enduro competitor, who took up Trials as a means of spending quality time with Adrian. After John's ride they had this to say-
"Having travelled to various parts of the world with our son and seen many trials venues and set-ups this would have to be one of the most well thought out and designed practice and learning set-ups we have seen anywhere. Having such experienced people running and teaching at the school is bound to make Nonstop Adventure a huge success."

Stuart Monteith(Managing Director, Mitre10 Mega, Auckland, NZ)had seen the Kiwirider Jan06 article on the NonStop Adventure Tours and Trials Academy so while on holiday in Nelson with family took the opportunity for a few hours riding at the Wakefield Trials Park before heading home to Auckland.
Stuart, his daughter Grace and son Campbell and brother-in-law Glen were all impressed with the facility, the professional assistance and hospitality offered. The PA system with wireless mic is great for demonstration and light coaching. A great time was had by all and Stuart is threatening to bring down friends from Auckland who all enjoy similar riding. Once they got started it was hard to drag them away and they had to be returned directly to the airport just in time for boarding their flight home. Stuart says they are looking forward to a return visit.
