60th Anniversary Kaikoura 3-Day 2006

Kaikoura 3-Day Crowd
Kaikoura 3-Day Crowd

June 3-5 was the 60th Anniversary of the Pioneer Motorcycle Club Kaikoura 3-Day event. This event is thought to be the longest consecutively run Trials Event in the World.

Over 100 riders tackled three days of sun, rain, mud, rocks and water which led to some very impressive riding.
Along with Expert, Intermediate, Clubman A&B and Classic, SideChairs were also featured.

The social side of this event has always been one of it's attractions and this year was no exception with many old faces from the past, now just a bit older, but still youthful in their enthusiasm for Trials. The stories grow over the years and much reminiscing occurred late into the night.

Some of the guest riders included Jock Cain, Greg Power, Bruce Morton, Paul Simons (currently resident in Australia) to name just a few.

Special thanks must go to Alan Honeybone, Sandra & Roy Hallie, Shane Brons and the team from the Pioneer Motorcycle Club for a lot of hard work in securing new properties and creating the sections for the three days.
