Stephen is the Nelson, New Zealand based holder of ten National Championship titles and has over 30 years involvement in motorcycle sport.
Overseas competition experience in the Scottish 6-Day and World Championship rounds has given Stephen a level of experience that makes him especially qualified to offer all generations of motorcycle riders in depth coaching.
"While having ridden all dirt bike disciplines, I believe Trail/Trials has a great deal to offer both parent and youth - individually and in partnership.
My mission", Stephen says, "is to assist you to fast track your riding and preparing both your bike and yourself for a safer and more enjoyable experience".
Our Off-Road Trail/Trial experts know what those new to the sport are capable of doing, and teach you through step-by-step instruction, gradually moving your comfort level higher, allowing you to explore your limits and ride confidently where you've never been before.
The Off-Road Trail/Trials control techniques will help fast track your riding to become a better all around rider.
Stephen wants youngsters to stay in his sport so he's designed the country's first purpose built Off-Road Trail/Trials course just South of Nelson.
"The aim of this in particular is to produce more talented young riders so they can compete competitively overseas. At the moment we get them to a certain level and then they just stop."
To help get over that obstacle Oliver's set up the NonStop Off-Road Trail/Trials Academy.
Stephen's coaching is already proving successful, producing five NZ Junior Champions so things look set to continue positively for the Academy and the Sport of Trials and Off-road motorcycling.
Nick Oliver is an integral part of our coaching team. Nicholas started riding on trials push-bikes at a very young age moving to a TY80 and later to the Montesa 315.
He achieved NZ Junior Championship status and rode in Japan in 2006, 2008 and 2013 at the Idemitsu Ihatove Trial with Takumi Narita.
Nick has won NZ A-Grade and North Island A-Grade Championships. Nick is currently riding at top level in New Zealand and regularly on the podium.
Nicholas brings with him the energy and enthusiasm of youth and is a very people friendly, helpful personality giving great assistance to younger riders. He has a high level of patience and commitment to see people achieve great results in the sport.
Nicholas has two sons of his own so is looking forward to many more years of riding. He is a great asset to the coaching team.
A NZ A-Grade Champion, NZ Intermediate Champion & NZ Junior Trials Champion Peter's smile is infectious, as is his sense of humour. His enthusiasm is a hit with everyone he coaches.
Peter, spurred on by brotherly competition from a young age, takes on the bigger Trials sections and is the resident expert on the back wheel.
He was able to compete in Japan in 2008 & 2013 and at the 32nd Idemitsu Ihatove Trial was rapt to come home with Takumi Narita's shirt at the end of the trial.
Andy, always the comedian, has great natural ability which he constantly reminds his father of. Andy is hard working and but is always keen for a ride.
He has honed his skills at the local skate park doing all sorts of crazy tricks on his BMX stunt bike and is also pretty handy on the Trials push bike. Although now married and father to Charlie, he has been back out riding and has a great coaching manner with newcomers to the sport.
